We are pleased to share the interview made with Denitsa Mengova, founder and Manager of Stil Laser Bulgaria, and published in Engineering Review magazine. The laser mechanical systems company has since this year established a valuable partnership with Arcos, for the supply of surface finishing systems.

What happened in 2022 for Still Laser Bulgaria – Mazak lasers?
We are now almost at the end of 2022, which was once again marked by difficulties on a global scale: war, economic and energy crisis and a numbers of other factors that affected the industry and manufacturers.
This year, Stil Laser Bulgaria fulfilled its plans and realized the projects that were started in 2021, others are still in the process of implementation. We have implemented our plans to expand the team – we have new colleagues in the “Marketing and Customer Service” department, and at the beginning of 2023 we expect a new service engineer to join the Bulgarian service department. The completely renewed website of the company is now operational, where we publish company news and current information.
We participated in the MachTech&lnnoTech 2022 exhibition in Sofia, where, with the exceptional support of the Mazak headquarters in Hungary, we showed the Bulgarian customers the OPTIPLEX Fiber Ill 3015 6 kW laser system for cutting sheet material, for which we are extremely grateful.
On a global scale, Mazak lasers continued their development despite the difficult and uncertain times. Thanks to the sustained work of our engineers in Japan, the new technologies and machines, that we presented this year at Europe’s largest exhibition for the metalworking industry EuroBlech in Hannover, are now a reality.
At the stand, numerous customers of ours from Bulgaria and all over Europe had the opportunity to see our most powerful laser system for processing sheet material OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 15 kW, which was connected to the CST 3015 material loading and unloading automation system by our exclusive partners from Fasani Automation.
Mazak has started a collaboration with nLight, a manufacturer of fiber resonators, which are now available for our OPTIPLEX Fiber 6kW, 10 kW and 15 kW models. They allow the introduction of the latest technology: beam shaping (changing the laser arc).
After the official presentation of the FT-150 tube laser at the Tube show in Hannover, Mazak also presented the latest development in the tube laser family, namely the FG-400. Thus, all models of Mazak FT-150, FG-220 and FG-400 lasers for processing pipes and profiles are now completely equipped with fiber sources and offer the possibility of integrating milling options for processing the material.
During EuroBlech, we also presented our innovative Iconnect service, which allows connecting one or more lasers to our system for remote maintenance and service. The service will soon be introduced to all current customers of Mazak lasers in Bulgaria.
You mentioned new products in the Stil Laser portfolio, could you tell us more about them?
In the last year, Stil Laser has implemented two new products that perfectly complement the production processes after laser cutting, namely automatic welding and grinding systems.
TECNOROBOT. We signed an_ exclusive commercial ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATON agency agreement for Bulgaria with the Italian company Technorobot, a leader in the development and production of customized automatic welding systems with FANUC robots. The company is a leader in this industry with a long history, over 2,500 completed projects worldwide and an excellent service network.
ARCOS. We are now also partners of Arcos Italy – a leader in the engineering, production and implementation of automatic grinding systems, again with FANUC robots. The first projects for Bulgaria have already been ordered, their deliveries are expected soon. We will have the opportunity to demonstrate them to our customers.
Technorobot and Arcos have many completed joint projects for related automated welding and grinding systems. We organize visits of Bulgarian manufacturers to both factories in Northern Italy.
